A synopsis of beirut explosion

Overview : 

Firstly to say , we all have might heard this in every social media and news channels etc.. from time to time and we also felt apprehensive for the event it took place in beirut . 

Let's, get into it : - 

This explosion has caused 157 dead  , and more than 5000 wounded cases and some are getting treated .But ,usually now , its pandemic time and we rush to hospitals and clinics etc.to make sure thar we are with safe health etc ..and this explosion has caused even more demand for hospitals and doctors in that city . 

So the reason,  behind this explosion and the ways to overcome are some of them : 

To know : 

BEIRUT is the capital city of LEBANON . 

Due to this explosion,  there is 140 km explosion carter around the borders and the amount of shock wave that has happened in Beirut international airport,  which is 9km far away from this city , has caused an great impact . 

According to the studies , it says that the noise and pollution is same as earthquake,  and effect is the same when compared with earthquake.  

MAIN IDEA : 

First , it started with small fire accident in the warehouse , without much noise and anyother harm , and later it sounds like thunders has reached the land and the entire part has disordered due to that blast .

After some time , an mixture of yellow and red colour fog came around and the place has got dusted in few seconds . 

The reason is NITROGEN DIOXIDE,  and there the warehouse was left with 2750 tonnes of AMMONIUM NITRATE, which caused the damage . 

TO KNOW : 

The main use of ammonium nitrate is helpful for farmers which is useful for fertilizers.  

Coming back to that , It has been set aside  in that warehouse for the past 6 years , due to financial problem they were unable to sell them and it is kept in the warehouse . You may wonder ,how , the tonnes of ammonium nitrate got blast without fire , or any other reasons .. ? 

The answer is - Nitrogen oxide contains ammonium nitrate which is used as fuel for that chemical . 

For example 

for lighting a fire , we need oxygen and match stick  , and in the same way , Ammonium nitrate has caused the explosion due to decomposed water and chemicals around it . 

So the chief reason,  

> The place where the ammonium nitrate were kept , is not the right place for this type of chemical ,and at that same time , there was a major fire explosion first ( mentioned earlier ) , before the main explosion took place ,and got decomposed with water  and oxygen , which is the key ingredient for ammonium nitrate,  and this is the most prominent reason for this targedy . 

And finally , when it comes to Chennai,India  we also have 750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate is kept confidential and safe , to protect and not to harm any people or society . Proper ventilation and time gap is required for this type of chemical .
